“Measure the goodness of an individual…
…by their reaction time, to their own evil!”
“The GREATEST gift you can give to humanity?
Conquer your own Demons…
…so you do not pass them down to the next generation”
Want to improve the world? Improve yourself… the rest will follow.
“We choose what holds us back…
…and what moves us forward.”
Saying this prayer, OUT LOUD, (most) every night, is the single most important contributor to making me a (somewhat) better person than I used to be.
Lord, help me to be:
Courageous, Selfless, Loving,
Patient, Peaceful, Humble,
Hard working and Forgiving.
Help me to be a great husband,
a great father, and a great human being.
And help me to always remember.
Every small epiphany I have in life, I ‘assign’ to this prayer… Every time I say I’ll pray for someone, I assign it to “always remember”…. So every time I say it, in my heart, those folks share a piece of my prayer…
I also wear, thanks to my wife, a necklace with the word “REMEMBER” on it — so I remember to never forget ;).
in the beginning:
a man of faith looked up and a man of science looked down…
both were too busy defending the truth they found…
but would have seen the same thing in another way had they only looked around.
“Are you Self Aware?”
c. Maybe… Let me reflect on it.
“Everything that is created is dreamed-up first.”
Life is full of peaks and valley’s, each equate to growth
Perception is reality, and we influence both.
What regrets would you have if today was the last day of your life?
What would you do different if, instead, you were given more time?
“Life is a Race
…how’s your Heart Pace?”
“Ever move a mountain?
Ever make it budge?
Ever even really try giving it a nudge?”
“Forgiving & Forgetting
…it’s a gift FOR GIVING,
not FOR GETTING!“
“If you believe in God:
pray for your faith once per night.
If you don’t:
then do it twice.“
“I can’t wait for tomorrow”
said the boy on a bad day.
“I can’t wait for the weekend”
said the boy in a bad week.
“I can’t wait until summer”
that same student would say.
“I can’t wait any longer”
said the man who past his peak.
“Stay down or stay level?
…gave the latter a try.
Make it to this level?
…give a ladder a try.
Get 1,000 miles high;
…then after that, fly,
hit a glass ceiling and
SHATTER THE SKY!“
~exert from “Getting up Now”
“All that is gained in life;
is lost in death.
Surviving the Loss:
We gain many things in our time, which are used in our test;
….for all we accrue in a life — we will lose in our death.
Yet much perspective can be gained, as one becomes aware;
That the things we have which survive are the ones we share.
“Even when there seems to be no reason..
..it is just one more reason to pray.”
“While you’re busy complaining…
…that others don’t change;
They’re busy waiting…
…for you to do the same.”
“Arose for the Occasion”
A Reflection on Us:
Easy wins rarely make our history;
it’s a story heard and told by no one.
The real measurement of a victory;
lies in the adversity we grow from.
“The Extended Hand has a tremendous Butterfly Effect.”
A Reflection of Us:
Every single gesture can change a life;
and a single moment is not made of time.
If one person needs help, then others do too;
World Peace is a decision beginning with you.
